Is this set one that uses a .47uf electrolytic to couple the hor. drive
signal
to the drive transistor? If it is I have found that the ESR will check
ok however
the value changes and eventually everything fails again.

Subject: [TechAssist] Sony KV32S15 HOT runs warm after repl, and smps
repairs

This Sony KV32S15 TV had the HOT ,smps Q601,602 shorted. Ordered and
installed a "G Board repair kit" from Tritronics (all OEM
parts) and an orig. HOT 2sc4927 sony part.
Seems the HOT is running very warm. Not necessarily hot, tho. The kit had
:
Q601,Q602
VDR601,602,603
R607
R644
I resoldered h. drive transformer,as well as all over the area. ESRd
caps around horizontal.Seemed ok. The set looks great but is there
anything I need to worry about before I button this up? Phil Bader
