The video does start to go black on the right side of the screen (it actually looks like the video breaks down or goes black). The picture that is viewable is properly synced, has good color/luma and although I'm not sure I think the OSD is always ok when this occurs. > I may have seen this problem before, as I believe that the video jungle or some cap connected to the jungle is responsible for the video dropping down to black. > > If you were to look at the symptoms using a scope set to the horiz rate, I would say the video would start to drop down to the black level starting on the trailing edge of the line and progressing to the leading edge of the video signal (starts on the right and progresses to the left). > I wish I was able to test this failure on the Video 1 and Tuner settings, unfortunately I could not verify if it occured on Video 1, only tuner. When it started to return the video would progress from the left side in "snow like dots" back to the right side slowly.....then BOINK! all the picture would pop back in. Sorry about the long-winded infomercial, but this has been REAL intermittant!!! > > Has anybody seen this symptom? Is it possible that the Video Jungle has had this as a symptom? > Has anybody possibly experienced a sync or blanking signal failure affecting the video jungle, yet providing good sync out to the crt?? Already looked at both Sony and Tech Assist Tech Tips: C570 for a TS11, D518/R587 for a TS20, and Q301 or IC301 (add D308) for the TS27 models. > > Your experience and opinions regarding this is VERY Much APPRECIATED! > Thanks! > > Damon Brunger > damon101@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Telrad Electronic Services > Ft Wayne, IN 46815 > > ------------------------------------------ > Make your TechAssist database better! > Submit Repair Tips here: http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/ > ------------------------------------------ > To UNSUBSCRIBE your email address, click here: > mailto:techassist-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe > Or send a BLANK email with unsubscribe in the > SUBJECT field to the address above. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
