Systemic bad connections (low volt regulators and elseware) are a real problem on this set as well as L501 and the PIN CIR.... etc... The old transistor was a 2SD1941. Customer said that this transistor was changed 4 months ago. (not by me). I replaced it with a 2SD1497. Both of these transistors sub to an ECG2300. Same old story...this transistor went out about 1/2 an hour after turn on. Winstips says Change it with a 2SC4927 and change R523 to a 0.68ohm 1 watt. Apparently this is from a Sony Service Bulletin. Has someone done that, and did it hold? Or are there other problems that will cause this H/O to run Super hot, till it kacks? -Ed- Tel-Tek Electronics Ontario-Canada teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx ***************************************************************************** Classifieds!
