[TechAssist] Sony DVD Player Mod#.DVP-S530D

Hello all,
The above DVD came in not recognizing the disc. We found out that the
spindle motor was bad and we replaced it.
When we put it to play it will play the disc, but if I want to stop the
CD and eject it, it will stop and it will show "locked"
mode and not allow me to eject the CD.
Any hints to the problem will be greatly appreciated.
