[TechAssist] Sony CCD-TR33 Camcorder- No VCR operation; no menu

Sony Camcorder CCD-TR33
Problem- VCR buttons do not function. Neither does Record search or menu
or really any of the buttons on the left side case.
'Record' button does not function in Camera mode either.
ALL of these functions work using the LANC connector remote control.
Therefore, mechanism is OK; syscon likely OK also.
Suspect the button array, left side case, may be problem even tho the
VCR buttons and "Record" button are separate form this array..
]Power switch is part of this array and works fine.
Removed the left side buttons and checked the flat cable- looks ok.
Resoldered the connector.
