[TechAssist] Sharp Camcorder mode VL-L310C

This camcorder was pointed at the sun and shows no light in viewfinder. I
have only a little experience with camcorders but I would say that whatever
gathers the light is probably gone.
I of course don't have a schematic so I would like to find out more on this
item. What is the name of the item ( diode etc. ) that has to be replaced.
Other then no light the corder works fine and the owner says he would like
it fixed if its not TOO much.
Any help would be appreciated.
