Subject: [TechAssist] Samsung TV - TXE2749 - KCT52A - Micro/EPROM
Question

Hello Gentlemen,

I'm hoping this email will be seen by a Samsung ASC or anyone who has
experience with this chassis. I need confirmation of what I should be
seeing for data activity between the micro and EPROM when this set is
first plugged in? Is this chassis sort of like the CTC's where there is
brief data activity on plug-in? Because on plug-in I see data activity
that never stops. I know nothing about the initialization sequence of
this chassis. At first I thought I had a SMPS problem but after
receiving a schematic I was able to confirm that the micro is supposed
to turn the SMPS fully on (+130). The micro is not turning the SMPS or
degaussing relay on however I can turn the SMPS and degaussing relay on
by applying +5 to pins 17 & 18 of the micro however, no horizontal
signal, no nothing. And yes the micro's 32 kHz clock is running!
I ask for blessing this week that all your repairs are solvable and
simple. In Jesus' mighty name..Amen!

Thank-you,

David Lessard
