Your right Al,one would think that Q801 is open.I did replace it & Q903.The 
command is coming from IC901,pin 18.I retraced my steps this morning & guess 
what,found part of my problem.The marking on the pcb for Q801 is wrong!It 
reads BCE,should be ECB.I reversed it & bingo,I now have my 130vdc going to 
the HOT collector.I now know I have a bad FBT for as soon as it is hooked up 
the unit goes into shut-down.Tks again for your i/p as it put me back on the 
right trail.Will order it today & post the final fix on this set[i hope] 
when it arrives......regards.....
