Dee,
I had one a couple of months back. It leaked all over the main board as
well. I contacted Samsung and was informed to replace the tube and board at
a ridiculous price. I informed the customer of the bad news and told him I
was willing to try a little experiment on the set if he was willing to give
it a try.
I washed the board and thoroughly dried it with a compressor. I cleaned the
chamber seal area with alcohol and re-sealed it generously with ECG RTV (the
type used on high voltage connections). Let it set-up for a couple of days
then fired it up.
Looked and worked great.
Hope this will save you a repair job.
