I was hoping for a "coalition of the willing" before we went into uncharted
territory. (see post below)
However I was unable to even get "sanctions" against the SMPS.
Now that you are making me "go it alone", I don't want anyone saying "wrong
repair, wrong place, wrong time" after the fact if this gets ugly...

Hello,
We don't see too many of these, so I have to ask the more experienced folk here
about these symptoms:
1) AC charger/supply appears OK
2) When initially plugged in, the yellow charge light comes on the camera.
3) If I attempt to power the camera up, a brief blip (not even a raster or any
real brightness) shows on the viewscreen, then no light, no camera, no action.
4) the only way the charge light returns is if the ac power is removed and
restored.
