Hello folks!
Thought I'd try this again in case my first posting got lost in "time".
I am in need of a schem for at least the PS section of this Magnavox "SQ26"
C8-
chassis, Model# RG4550-AK02 26-inch hifi TV (Chassis# 26C8-13BB) mfd
Jan-1987
in Tennessee.
The problem is when selecting POWER ON, the SMPS only makes what sounds like
the "kick start" and nothing more - no POWER LED, no HV, nothing.
I've checked for all possible bad caps and solder joints I can think
of/find.
Several were bad (both caps & solder joints). Afterwhich I thought I had it
licked until I found a part (R403) cracked next to Q400 (Switch Mode Reg).
Unfortunately, I cna't read Q400 and R403 is discolored.
Anyone have the info and/or suggestion(s)?
