I never paid much attention to the satellite stuff, but I have read lots of
posts about it . As I recall, the $49 price was for new subscribers. If you
were a subscriber and your receiver got blown up, you had to buy a new one
for $200, because the dealer does not get a subsidy for replacements off
warranty.
If this is correct, then your repaired units, if working properly, might be
of value as replacements.
