I have an RCA TV CTC197CD model F32676SBFM1 with a bad flyback. The HOT is still ok. Does anyone recommend replacing it anyways because of possible stress from the flyback, or does the shutdown circuit keep the HOT from being stressed to begin with? I found R14126 30K 3W to look stressed and also R14159 15K 3W also stressed. I replaced these both even though they measured alright. This my first or second CTC197 so I'm not familiar with these. Are there other common parts that should be replaced "regardless" in these chassis when the flyback goes? I have solderd the hor. driver transformer and will solder the tuner. (I thought they changed to stand up type tuner in these, but I guess not) Also, what is the approx. cost of the flyback in the US? Here in canada, it's about $88.00 CDN. Thanks for any help. -- ******* ATTENTION, PLEASE ******** I have a new email address. Please send all email in the future to: "Gary McCartney" <gary@xxxxxxxxxxx> Thanks.
