Charles, Did the tape over the anode cavity,cleaned, siliconed, let it cure
0ver nite. tried it
so far no arcing! Unfortunately, TV has other problems, green&red look o.k.,
blue barely visable right side of faces! All three crt's check o.k.
Emmision, tracking , no shorts.. If anyone has any tips, appreciate the help,
thank you... Leaving for Montery friday to get in some scuba diving, fresh
start tuesday... To everyone a Safe Weekend .

That is probably not coolant, the rubber decomposes, I scrape silicone
sealant with a razor blade(put tape over anode cavity to keep silicone out),
clean with acetone.I use the anode cup from an RCA fly kit where I did not
use the lead. The RCA cup fits perfectly. Also check the shield around
anode cup, usually has a hole burned in it, hth.
