That CTC172 chassis is rare, the one I have now is just my second one. The
first one I worked on quit turning on when I had the fan disconnected, after
troubleshooting for awhile I reconnected the fan and the set would then turn
on. I never looked into it but I think it has to be connected for the set to
run.
