Normally on the RCA/Thomson sets you can lightly pull the HV leads and twist them about 1/2 to 3/4 turn and they will pop right out. I read a tip somewhere that you can spray freeze spray into the lead and chimney of the splitter, then try to pull and twist. It's worked for me before.
