Jim,
      Just repaired one last week, same problem..  We found open foil to the
comb filter, we hard wired it.. that corrected the problem. We scoped the
comb filter when it acted up lost info to the comb filter and had it on the
etch.
hope this helps as we used like 200lbs of solder on the board...  hahah
