Larry,
Would the CTC187AJ Chassis be of help to you?
This question is also a test to see if my posts are getting trough now. For
the past couple of days I was: Persistent Transient Failure: Delivery time
expired.
In other words, nothing got trough.

Subject: [TechAssist] RCA F32672SB CTC187CL3 eats the HOT

Hi Guys, I don`t have the manual and didn`t see it downloaded in the
members area, This set
was butchered by another "shop", seems the HOT runs very hot so he
decided to mount
the HOT on a large heatsink with a computer fan attatched to the
heatsink and used speaker
wire to get the AC to the transformer he glued onto the board tray!! He
has replaced the fly
with an oem, needless to say the HOT is dead shorted and now he isn`t
returning the customers
calls. Customer says after the fly and HOT were changed together the set
ran for 3 weeks. I
have of course removed the fan, heatsink, wiring etc. etc. I will
resolder the hdt, the coil on the
base of the HOT, install a new oem HOT, but obviously this will just get
me back to the original
problem of the HOT running so hot it destroys itself, if someone could
download the print to
the members area or tell me if a 188 print is the same I would greatly
appreciate it, as always
Thanks in advance, Larry E
