CTC185 theory Question!
130 Volt B+ is at 165 volts in standby.....is this normal.?

I fixed the power supply in this unit. In standby the collector of HOT shows
165V . This drops to 128 volts after start up. It regulates great varying AC
input voltage + or - (10 volts) .
Should the voltage be 130 volts in standby mode, not 165v? "In service
literature it seems to indicate this". I am tempted to put this back
together and let it go. The regulator transistor is running cool as is the
H.O.T.
If the CTC169 chassis has high standby it causes problems? Wonder if this is
the same in CTC185.

thanks for any info on this,
Bruce.
