Thanks for the tips. The 2.7 ohm/20 watt resistor tested
good, but now I have more things to check.

Found this in my tips.

The instructions say to check the following:

-R102, 3.3 ohm, 1/2W # 830A33
-R103 47 ohm, 1/2W # 830047
-R106 2.2 ohm, 1/2W # 830A22
-Q100 Chopper turn off trans 142251 (NLA- use 146849 according to my
supplier's web site)
-CR105 Diode # 142569 (subs to NTE506)
-CR108 Diode # 142569 (subs to NTE506)

Not listed, but you need to also check R109, a 2.7 ohm 22W on top of a
small board as you look down on the chassis- can't miss it. The resistor
might be open. Also, good idea to solder the base and emitter leads of
the 160082 chopper output to it's socket connections to insure no
intermittants.
