Assisting another shop.
Originally dead. Replaced the flyback. The HOT was OK (funny)
Ran several weeks OK. Dead again. Replaced fly and HV splitter. Came up
and ran OK.
Carried the chunk to the house, installed it. Had no sound there, but
customer kept it as a monitor until tech could get back and see about
the sound.A week or so later (last night) tech went over and cured the
"no sound" issue.Audio output IC on main board needed resoldering. (he
had removed it during testing). Now good pix and sound.
Ran all night good, customer turned it off, went to bed.
This morning tried to turn on: Only a "tic". Dead again.
First, wierd it ran a week OK, resolder sound amp, dead overnight,
secondly, the HOT was never bad. Still the original HOT is in it.
I think this tech is chasing his tail with some obscure crack in the
board, or maybe an intermittant HOT?
Anyone see this?
A parts used OEM RCA.
