This was surged in a home where a generator was used during storms. This
is the type with the 5 disc tray on top and the jazzy florescent display
on front...
The main 4 amp line fuse was blown. Replaced it, disc carosel
works, drawer goes in/out on command... spins a CD, no sound, no
display. On the "Power Amp Board" where the rectifiers and fuses live,
found these parts bad so far:
IC protector "IC-P01" (T200mA) open. connected to that, burnt R521
resistor (value?, 1/8W).
Connected to that, Zener diode D514 leaky. Across board a small
transistor Q517 shorted (K117Y, part#?)
The set has a stereo amp IC nearby, good/bad? LM4766T.
The string of parts go to a cable plug that goes up to front panel
board. Would like these parts values to see so far. Customer said worth
$300.00 wants fixed if possible.
