This is a test message as well as a reply for me. I have only received
approx. 5 Tech Assist emails since Nov. 12th for reasons that nobody
seems to know why. I checked my mail just now and found 109 new
messages, mostly from Tech Assist. Hopefully the problem is gone but I
won't declare so for a while. Thanks to whoever was able to solve it for
me (if indeed it is solved). I just received an invoice from my web host
for the next year's services, so maybe that has something to do with
it??? hmmm.......

To respond to the question about mail coming into Canada, there were 5
distribution facilities for mail coming into the country- Vancouver,
Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, and Montreal. Two have recently been closed
(Calgary & Winnipeg) because the US postal service USPS stopped using
the above mentioned two sites because of so called transportion
problems. Thus all the incoming mail is left to be handled at the 3
remaining facilities. That, and the fact that there has been some sort
of strike with customs workers, the mail has generally been back-logged.
Some will sneek through rather quickly, while others will be stuck for a
month. There has also been rumours that Canada Post is insisting that
all addressing be done in capital letters only and if the sender doesn't
comply, the mail could be returned to the United States. I don't know if
there is any truth to that at all. Also, the word CANADA should be
spelled out in full on the last line of the address. Apparently some USA
senders were putting CA rather than CANADA, and the packages were going
to CAlifornia instead.
