[TechAssist] Portable "laptop-type" DVD players: anyone fix them?

These are the 7" to 10"screen LCD type DVD players. Like mini laptops.I
get calls all the time. The latest call is an RCA with dim screen. These
seem to price out at bet. $179.00 up.
Anyone ever work on these or are they too proprietary, or not economical?
