Phil, Don't go through the same thing I went through. I had a customer with a high end receiver, I repaired the original problem..came back twice for solder connections in different circuits.. Examine the board carefully, especially anything standing off the PC. Move some of the larger transistors while looking on the bottom of the PCB to see if the leads are moving also. Tried to keep subject line brief. Customer complaint was "it lights up, but with no sound thru the speakers. just a low hum in speakers is all thats heard". I powered it up on bench, and works fine. Unit uses four power transistors as outputs, not the STK modules. All seems OK, tho. Is he possibly dealing with protect mode due to some bad speakers in his home?
