I think this model also uses the infamous SSB (small signal module)
Otherwise known as the "SOB" due to it's high failure that causes shut
down and power LED blinking.
Two blinks inducates "vertical protection".
With my PTV915 repair the tech assist dept said the SSB module was
giving bad vertical sync to the set, triggering a vert protect, even tho
nothing was wrong with the vert ckt.
I bet a weeks pay you have a bad SSB. Mone did the same thing. Anither
shop gave up on it. i replaced the board (SSB) and it's been in use
several months noy. It's the small board mounted near the rear jack
panel to your left as seen from rear, with a white ribbon cable plugged
into the top of it.
