A "do-it-yerselfer" brought this in apart.
The original problem was the vert. deflection was down a third from the
top, up slightly from bottom.
Two SMD capacitors "2252" and "2253", located under the top mounted
resistors 3244 and 3249 in board section 7-E.
Caps 2252 ,2253 both part# 3198-016-31020 (1n,5%,25V)
Resoldering (sometimes replacement) of these SMD's restored the vertical.
Now...My vert output IC 7471 (935270164112) was OK.
In his "quest" he scraped SMDs off around the sound IC losing sound. He
broke the purity ring assy on the CRT neck and no way of knowing how it
went. He lost one plastic mount rail that holds the board in place, abd
broke two plastic buttons that actuate the front tactiles.
Lost the remote.
What a mess.
Bet he has a kid,tho... They always seem to know how to reproduce...
A very fixable situation. Gone.
Oh, well.
