Mando, Here's what I have from Tech Repair CD: Philips\27B8\Shutdown\\\27B8\D409 - off pin # 5 of IFT(4835 130 37094 an ECG 580 type)\R420 - off pin # 5 of IFT(1 ohm 1/2w 5% part no 4835 116 57109)\R58 - on CRT module(22 ohms 1/2w 5% 4835 116 57708)\small trace running to pin # 4 of the Vertical output IC was also open*Also solder vertical IC or replace\\\\\ MAGNAVOX \27TS54C101\DEAD\Black screen except flicker of light at edges & could faintly see that vertical was collapsed to about 2 at bottom of screen\with faint video visible in pix. After removing chassis-set failed to start & HV would kick to 12kv\27B800-Manual: 7562\IC500 (4835-209-88531)(TDA9302H)\R420 (1ohm-½w) 4835-116-57109\R420/D409 Located next to IHVT\Replace the IC first as resistor will immediately burn\\\\\ Good luck.. If I remember, the trace that I had lifted was in the opposite direction from the diode relevant to the vertical chip..off one of the other pins..There were two traces leading to the components pin and one of the traces were lifted.
