Most of those sets use the 2SD1879 or 2SD1556.I would check the 1\160v cap in the horiz.ckt. Also,try replacing the hot again but this time disconnect the yoke.If the yoke is the problem,you will have sound and will not blow the transistor.Yokes are a very common failure in this sets.
