I know that on some Panasonics, after alignment of the deck gears, you
install the cassette loader
in the "Down" position.
Does the loading motor repostion itself when you leave the the loader
out and plug it in ?
Can you play a tape with the c loader out ?

Hi,
I can't seem to get the link gear in proper alignment with the basket
assy.
I have done many of these Panasonic VCRs before, but, this one seems to
be a
little bit different. There are no broken gears, and the rest of the
Mech.
align. is correct.

I am trying to install the basket assy. back in the unit, but when I
set the
link gear from a manual that is "close", the unit turns on when I plug
it
in, and then turns back off in 2 seconds. Then it won't turn on by the
power
switch. If I leave the basket out, the unit will turn on at plug in,
and at
least stays on.

I can't help thinking that my only problem is getting the Link gear
aligned
correctly.
This link gear only has "ONE" indentation to go by, and maybe one
slash
mark, which is different then any of the other manuals I have in my
VCR
library.
Does anyone have this align info available to send me a fax ?
It's an older unit, so I doubt it's avail. on a pdf.
If you send a fax, let me know in advance, so I can turn my Fax on
first.

TIA,
LLW
