This TV was plagued with a bunch of cold solder joints. The main culprits were on the stand-up board which contains the micro and relay circuits. Probing around with my DMM caused the TV to fire up, scared the crap out of me, then it was simply a hunt and peck method to isolate the intermittent(s). Thanks for the direction Jim.
