[TechAssist] PTK 169bu no apparant raster!

Asked about this one before, still no fix and have not been able to find
problem. NO raster...if I run screen control up there is a slight raster with
retrace lines....this means the sweep circuits are working. TTP 98-004 says
to troubleshoot the scan loss circtuit for this symptom. The bulliten says
that pin 8 of U7005 should be VCC for the scan loss circuit, however there is
nothing connected to pin 8 of that IC. If I use RCA's wonderful schematics I
have to run through pages and pages of service data and still cannot find pin
8 of U7005. I can physically find it on the IC and there is no trace going to
pin 8 the schaematic shows only the comparator pins on U7005 but it is hard
if not impossible to troubleshoot this circuit with out more info. any help
will be .....well.... help!!! thanks!
