I usually refuse to work on anything that the
customer has tampered with, but this is a well
known problem, at least now.
Nothing to do with the vertical.
Pull the convergence board out and resolder
everything in sight.
Also replace the two large i-c's.
This is per Pioneer tech assist.
I tried just the solder up on two different sets
and they looked great.
One stayed home, but the other came back in a few
weeks with the same blown fuse.
Since then, I just replace and charge for it.
