You need to replaced the thermistor. It can cause intermittent purity
problems.

Subject: [TechAssist] Newer Panasonic 31" TV, degaussing problem

This set has been in to my shop twice for a multi-colored picture. The
centre is black and white and the edges are multi-colored. I repaired
one obvious bad connection on the degaussing thermistor (little black
box) the first time, and 1 not so obvious bad connection the second
time. Shortly after the second repair the same symptoms returned in the
customer's home. It is like the degaussing circuit is not connected.
Has anyone come across a problem like this? Every part in the
degaussing circuit checks good. What am I missing? TIA
