Al,
Trust be, a red band will look orange after it has burned..I see this often.
Brown can also look orange. If a resistor has burnt, I never trust the color
the bands looks.,

Thanks Jeff , But that first band definitely looks orange. The other two are
faded. I thought maybe the yellow had turned white and the last band had
turned colors too. But if you have this post then I guess they changed.
