Cause #1
1. MAY ALSO GO TO HOME THEATER WHEN UNPLUGGED. E2 RESET IS NEEDED. ACCESS
THE OPTION MENU BY PRESSING "MENU 1, 3, 7, 0", USE THE ADJUST BUTTON TO
SELECT "E2 RESET" AND PRESS "QV". THIS IS ALSO NECESSARY AFTER REPLACEMENT
OF THE EEPROM, IC701.

Subject: [TechAssist] Mitsubishi VS50603 - VZ5 Chassis Locks to input 1

This unit reverts to the home theater mode after a power failure. When
power is restored the input button will only access tuners A & B and has
sound but no picture. If I go to the AV connection menu, the LOCK TO INPUT
1 sub menu says YES, upon changing it to NO the set resumes normal operation
but has Input 4 installed, this set has no Input 4. I can go to the service
menu and remove input 4 but after a power failure it returns. Are there
option bytes in the service menu that may have changed (and if so how do I
change them back) causing my trouble or am I looking at an eprom failure.
The only info I have on this set is a simple sheet of access codes to enter
the service menu.
TIA
