Check the caps in that circuit before condemning the flyback.

Hi guys,

went on a call for a mits that's in shutdown, found the set will remain on
if in an unused video input or if the pix is a dark scene. traced the
shutdown to the x-ray protect ckt. IC5A01 is triggering from pin 1, found
tracing back to the flyback pin 8 at low bright or no video pin remains at
6.5 volts, pressing the menu changes this voltage to 2.5 volts and causes
shutdown. I have checked All the common tips D5A22, D5A09, D5A21 and all the
transistors around the HV monitoring ckt. Wondering if anyone had a bad
flyback cause this symptom as I believe the flyback is bad.

thanks
