Hi Group, some updates have been made to our member's
download/upload area.
http://techassist.hypermart.net/secure/members/

You'll see that separate folders have now been created by
electronic component type (TV folder, VCR folder, etc)
and within each of them you will find specific makes. Within
each individual folder I have added the appropriate upload link,
so that when anyone uploads a document, they will be
uploaded to the correct folder. So, please be sure when any
of you upload anything, that you go to the correct folder to
do so. Please also be sure you name it correctly. For
example, if it is a document identified by a number (such as
efact # [whatever]), put that first so members will be able to
see the documents listed by that number, then of course
followed by as many model or chassis #'s the document
pertains to that the 'name' line will hold. You can see how
the files that have been uploaded are named to get an idea
of what I'm talking about.

A few things about uploading; if you have multiple files to
upload for ONE specific model, such as several pdf files or
gif's/jpeg's which is the schematic for ONE model, they must
be zipped first then uploaded. If any of you have trouble
with this or don't know how, it's simple. Place all of the
files in an appropriately named folder, right click it, then
select "add to zip". Have your 'compression' set to 'maximum'
then click 'add'. Another way is to just highlight all of
the documents (hold the 'ctrl' key while clicking or
highlighting each) then right click the group, and do the
same thing as above, and you'll have to give them a name at
the top of the winzip interface that pops up. What I do with
this latter method is just type a letter or number, then
rename the zipped file when the process is complete. (FYI,
if you don't have winzip, you can get it here free).

I personally have dozens more to add, so this area will grow
quite a bit in the future. If all members upload their documents
to these areas to share with other members, this can be and
will be quite an assist to our group.
