[TechAssist] Medical Machine, sony SVO-9500WD2/A, VCR Deck w/RS-232

Hello,
Working on a Medical VCR which is no longer supported by Sony Tech
support per Sony.
Problem, takes in tape threads up to ACE head and waits. Ejects ok. No
other functions. Drum circuit during testing has spun up. Dew,
cassette-in, SVHS-In, and other sensers checked ok. No FF/RW,Play, Record
functions. Power supply voltages are ok. Acts like its awaiting further
commands. No data on RS-232 on hand. Have data on Model SV0-9500MD but
lacks allot of the circuits in the SV0-9500MD2/A.
Open for any input from anyone with idea's.
