Kevin,
Only thing I an think, when the first one went, perhaps the micro shut the unit
down saving the second resistor and possibly other parts.
I've seen this lots of times...you think more parts would be blown...

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for the tips from the T R CD. The solution was similar to the
second tip.

After many hours and swapping of parts, the problem turned out to be 1
of 2 15K-3 watt resistors in parallel going open. R245 and R250 supply
150 volts to 9 volt zener diode which supplies 9 volts to pin 26 of IC
101. How in the world could only one go open when they are both in
parallel with each other? =20

Hi fellow techs,

Relay clicks on, B+ goes to 155 volts, should be 125. No HV. Vcc for
TA8680 is only 0.6 volts, should be 9 volts for 15kHz output. Tried to
trace VCC source (9 volts) but couldn=92t find it. Does anyone have the
schematic for this TV? It looks like this TV is in shutdown mode. TIA
