Thanks for the vote of confidence Ray, but I don't want to have to remove or
solder every cap if it is not typical.  We have so much lightning in this
area that I wonder if these were not due to surges...one of them was pretty
puffed up.  Like I said, I have not seen this problem before in the CTC169
but I only do a few of them a month.
