[TechAssist] JVC camcorder GR-AXM10U lcd inop

this jvc camcorder's lcd is inoperative. The video is
fine thru the viewfinder but when you open the lcd
just a black screen. I have never had this problem
before and am working without a print. I am not sure
what the voltage should be at the backlight or if
there is a way to test the backlight out of circuit.
Any ideas or help greatly appreciated.
