[TechAssist] JVC av-27920 amazing exloding V out!

Hello all,
This JVC seemed to have a garden variety V-out failure (la7832).
The original had a little piece blown off, but the 27v limit resistor and
rectifierdiode were OK. Th zener on the output is good too!
After replacing it with a la7833 (same but higher current-i think), it too
exploded almost immediatly upon power up.
I did a resistance check between H and V yokes and measured open-OK.
Anyone ever encounter something like this?
