Hello Gerald,
I am not sure exactly what you're talking about on the JVC's, but I would try 
and find out why the cap is failing. Is it heat? High ripple current? Or is it 
excessive voltage. If it is just a filter cap, then would using a 2200uF be any 
better? I would recommend B&D, and try to find a good cap that would suit you 
needs. Just my 2 cents.
