[TechAssist] JVC AV27790 No menu function

Helo. I'm working on a JVC AV27790 made in 1996. I do not have a
service manual. The set never shows a menu or a volume bar when pushing
the front buttons or with the remote. When pushing the channel +/- it
will change but with a 1 or 2 second delay. The same thing happens when
pushing power on/off. Otherwise the picture and sound are good. Does
anyone have a suggestion? John.
