Thanks Charles. Yup you were correct D422..(75volt zener) was also defective, along with a leaky C424 (100ufd/33volts). And of course IC421, (LA7832). I have an LA7830 in there at the moment, but seem to be running a little warm, maybe I should go to an LA7833, what do you think? -Ed- teltek@xxxxxxxxxxx TEL-TEK ELECTRONICS. ----- Original Message ----- From: "repair1" <repair1@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, February 13, 2002 1:51 PM Subject: [TechAssist] Re: JVC 27" AV-27020 > > That would be an la 7832, there is a zener diode around ic you should change > pn mtzj75-t2, I have used an la 7833 without any problems hth > charles betzler > Best Electronics > repair1@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Tel-Tek Electronics" <teltek@xxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Wednesday, February 13, 2002 11:53 AM > Subject: [TechAssist] Re: JVC 27" AV-27020 > > > > > > Sorry Guys...I was working on the wrong IC. > > Should have checked IC421, which IS the vertical. > > > > Diregard the message below. > > If someone knows the generic number for IC421, please let me know since > the > > numbers are blown off of this one, all I have is ***832. > > > > Thanks. > > > > -Ed- > > teltek@xxxxxxxxxxx > > TEL-TEK ELECTRONICS. > > > > > > > > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Tel-Tek Electronics" <teltek@xxxxxxxxxxx> > > To: "AAAA TECH-ASSIST" <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > > Sent: Wednesday, February 13, 2002 12:32 PM > > Subject: [TechAssist] JVC 27" AV-27020 > > > > > > > > > > Have a JVC set her that powers up, 4 seconds later shuts down and power > > > light will start to flash. > > > Have checked all in regulator and horizontal checks OK. > > > If I disconnect the Vertical plug from the yoke, set will stay on with > no > > > vertical. > > > It uses an LA4446 vert OP IC, which I don't have in stock.
