and the way I understand some message board talk about these units (cd video
recorder) the quality is perfectly fine for transferring home videos to,
from vhs--other than the time limitations.  It wouldn't make sense to copy
from a dvd-ram (dvd camcorder) unless you want to do what I plan on doing--a
how to video.  I would have a higher res master to duplicate.  $199 for the
stand alone unit seems to be a good price for the convience based on this
1) you don't have to buy or tie up your PC (especially important if doing
quantities)
2) no software/bug issues
3)easy hookup/changeover from different sources
I don't sell these things guys--just considering the bennies since I am in
the market.  When I do need to make these copies of my how to video, I will
probably (hopefully) need to make quite a few.  and NO.  it isn't a "how to
fix your TV and VCR"  video  .
