[TechAssist] Initial IDM-1731 portable DVD player

The Problem is with Audio.
Low at Max Volume with the internal speakers,and no Sound at all
when the Headphones are plugged in.
The Volume control seems to have good Range,IOW it raises and lowers the Volume
good, without any scratchy noises.
Scoping the Headphone Jack shows no Audio present,with the Headphones
plugged in or not.
Numerous SM caps on one side of the board,but heating and chilling brings
no change in the symptom.
A few of these check 'suspect',compared to others of the same value,but
none check BAD(ESR).
I've tried changing audio modes in the menu(stereo,or 5.1 channel) to no avail.
Obviously no Schematics,and not much "room to wiggle",as these can be
purchased for $149
at many Retail outlets.
Suggestions ???
