[TechAssist] Hitachi 32UX01S service mode adjustments

I have this 32UX01S Hitachi repaired from a dead set condition and it
looks like all it really needs is the vertical size adjusted. There is
an adjustment code table in the service manual and instructions on
accessing the service mode but the set does not seem to do what the
manual says it should. I can't find the adjustments codes that are
listed and when I change anything starting with a V the picture geometry
does not change. The EEPROM was replaced, the original EEPROM causes the
controls to function very sluggishly so it probably is not practical to
get the original data. Is there a way to do this that works when the
service manual makes no sense?
