Kevin,
I've often wondered that myself! Why can't they just put 4 screws like
everybody else? My guess would be to keep the consumer out.
There doesn't seem to be an elegant, standard design for anything these
days. Hidden clips, hexagonal screw heads, you almost need the service
manual to crack them open.
Glad you were able to figure it out and thanks for sharing.

I finally got the back off using 3 screwdrivers and my fist. There were
2 plastic clips on each side. One clip got broken and there is minimal
damage to the back. Why can't they just put 4 screws like everybody
else?
